January 15th Sign up Begins!

At long last and due to popular demand, the Washington State Christian Talent Contest (www.ChristianTalentContest.org) is returning April 9,  2011. The event will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Tacoma, Washington. Come join the largest Christian Talent Contest in the West, network with other Christian artists, present your God-given talents and win exciting prizes, including cash, media interviews, prestigious performance opportunities, merchandise, and more!

After seventeen years and thousands of contestants, the contest took a break, but now it’s returning. Who knows, you may follow in the footsteps of these Washington State Christian Talent Contest alumni: Natalie Grant (4 Dove Awards), Scott Krippayne (nominated for a Dove Award for his number one song "Sometimes He Calms the Storm" ), Missi Hale (member  of the Women Of Faith worship team, and Disney recording artist), the Total Experience Gospel Choir, Tiffany Curtiss (vocalist with Audio Unplugged/Audio Adrenaline), Charity Sanoy (vocalist on soundtrack for The Lion King II and voice of Princess Kiara),  Crystal Aikin (award winning, Dove award nominee and nationally acclaimed BET artist – her first album included “Breathe on Me”, featuring Natalie Grant), Witherspoon!!! (winners of multiple awards, including the GMA (Gospel Music Association) award), to name just a few.

The tremendously talented and funny Tracie Davis will host the Semi Finals (in the sanctuary) and Finals. She has opened up for National Artists Kiki Sheard, Beverly Crawford, Mary, Mary, Angela Spivey, Hezekiah Walker, Lee Williams & The Spiritual QC's, and Leanne Faine. She's performed on the TV show "Lift Every Voice”, at functions at the Boeing Company, Texas Lutheran University, and Alaska Airlines. She's had them laughing in churches in Atlanta, Seattle, Texas, Florida, Milwaukee, California, and Kansas. Tracie is said to be one of the funniest Gospel Comedians in the world. Her routines will have you laughing in the aisles!

The Talent Contest is open to everyone inside or outside Washington State (except relatives of Worthy Music Ministries)- to enter.  Nominal entry fees are required to help cover the costs, but a limited number of scholarships are available upon request. There is no charge to come and watch either the Semi Finals or Finals!

If you are a singer, songwriter, band, ensemble, choir, comedian, dancer, rapper, instrumentalist, youth, or just about any other performing genre – this is the place for you to come out and present your talents and network with some of the best Christian artist in the Northwest at the 18th annual Washington State Christian Talent Contest.

The Talent Contest will accept entries beginning January 15.  For more information and entry forms, go to www.christiantalentcontest.org.
If you know of any Christian artists or groups who may be interested in learning more, we greatly appreciate you forwarding this email and attachments to them.
See you at the Talent Contest!
P.S. We are still in need of qualified sound technicians who would like to volunteer their time during the Semi Finals and perhaps the Finals. Complete sound systems will be available – we just need some help in running them!
